What it is
A round robin splits your picks into every smaller parlay of one size. Four legs by 2's makes six parlays: 1-2, 1-3, 1-4, 2-3, 2-4, 3-4. Each is its own bet.
Why use one
One loser kills a straight parlay. Here it only kills the parlays it's in, so you can still profit. The cost: you stake once per parlay, and the top payout is lower than one big parlay.
How many bets
4 legs by 2's is 6 parlays, 5 by 2's or 3's is 10, 6 by 2's is 15, 6 by 3's is 20. Your total stake is the stake per parlay times that count.
Using the round robin calculator
Split your picks into every smaller parlay of one size and see what it costs and pays: the number of bets, your total stake, and the return however many legs win.
- 1Enter your stake per parlay and pick the odds format.
- 2Add each leg's odds, then choose the parlay size (by 2's, 3's and so on).
- 3See every parlay, the total stake, and what you get back for each number of winning legs.
Questions bettors ask
How many bets are in a round robin?
Every combination of your legs at the chosen size: 3 legs by 2's is 3 parlays, 4 by 2's is 6, 4 by 3's is 4, 5 by 3's is 10, and 6 by 3's is 20. Your total stake is the stake per parlay times that count.
What happens if one leg loses?
Only the parlays with that leg lose. Four legs at −110 by 2's with $10 a parlay costs $60; if one leg loses, the three parlays without it each return $36.45, $109.34 in all.
Is a round robin better than a parlay?
It's safer but pays less at the top: one loser doesn't sink everything, but you stake once per parlay and the best case is smaller than one big parlay at the same total.
How are pushes handled?
This calculator doesn't model them. At most books a pushed leg drops out of each parlay it's in, and those parlays pay at the shorter odds of the legs left.
