The Royals were shut out by seven Blue Jays relievers on Wednesday, but they turned around on Thursday and wasted no time in getting the offense going ... and going ... and going. That, plus another dominant start from Noah Cameron, sent the Royals to a 13-2 victory and a series win at Rogers Centre. It will be a happy flight to Cleveland, where Kansas City will play three against the Guardians this weekend. It was the Royals’ 10th win in their last 11 games and their fourth consecutive series win, a streak that started in Anaheim from Aug. 14-16 and continued in the last homestand with sweeps of the Athletics and Tigers. Thursday also marked the Royals’ second consecutive road series win after going 3-15-2 in their first 20 road sets of the season. This is what mattered most from a nice bounce-back win for Kansas City: **1\. Cameron keeps rolling** The turnaround for Cameron keeps rolling along with another quality start (two runs allowed in six innings). He held the Blue Jays scoreless until his final inning, when George Springer hit a two-out, two-run home run in the sixth. That put an end to Cameron’s scoreless innings streak at 19 frames, as well as a stretch of 48 2/3 consecutive innings without allowing a home run. Even as the Royals monitor Cameron’s workload now that he's surpassed his career high in innings, he’s been impressive. He doesn’t let jams get to him like they did early in the season, and the slider continues to be a real weapon for him. Along with calling his own pitches, the slider has been what’s fueled this whole turnaround. The Royals have always viewed Cameron as a big part of their future, but this stretch only emphasizes just *how* important he will be. That’s especially true as they start to build their offseason plan, which will revolve around pitching additions.
